A former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Uche Secondus, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Uche Secondus who recently stepped down as PDP National Chairman following a court judgment asking him to vacate the position, was arrested in connection with the investigation of Jide Omokore, a business. Jide Omokere is being investigated for illegally lifting crude oil and Uche Secondus allegedly received 23 luxury vehicles from the businessman.
Uche Secondus is also suspected of helping Omokore launder some money and he is yet another member of the PDP arrested by the EFCC. PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh is also being prosecuted by the EFCC for illegally receiving funds from the Office of the former National Security Adviser.
