Alhaja Ariat Smith, wife of the former Inspector-General of Police dies at the age of 69 after a brief and undisclosed illness. The deceased was buried within 24 hours according to the Islamic rites. This announcement was made by Mr. Gboyega Akosile, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor. The deceased was survived by her husband, Musiliu Smith and her children.
