US President Barack Obama has always being vocal about his choice of music and has even named Kendrick Lamar’s “How much a dollar cost” as his favorite song of 2015.

Recently President Obama met up with Rapper Kendrick Lamar and the rapper has opened up about his meeting with the President to discuss the importance of role models for today’s youth.
The rapper’s label and management company Top Dawg Entertainment shared a video and a series of photos from the meeting while explaining how mentorship helps saves lives.
“As a kid, having a mentor was vital to me. Always been there when it counted, allowed me to make some of the most important decisions while growing up,” Lamar said in the video.
This was done to promote Kendrick’s Pay it Forward program.
