Former Sunderland midfielder, Adam Johnson returned to court today in his child sex trial.
Although Adam Johnson pleaded guilty to grooming and sexual activity with a child, he is denying two more charges of sexual activity which involves penetration.
He admitted to the court yesterday that he had lied to investigators before he was charged to court and has admitted to having kissed the 15 year old girl he met last January. The girl has told the court that she performed Oral sex on Adam Johnson and that he put his hands down her trousers; Johnson has denied having oral sex with her.
Adam Johnson took the stand today as he was cross examined and shown text messages he had exchanged with the girl. One of the messages read,
ย ‘Think we need to go in the back next time’ and another
‘it was class – just wanted to get jeans off, lol’
In another text, 28 year old Johnson says
‘You felt very turned on”
He has maintained that he only kissed her in his Range Rover in January last year.
