In response to trolls who compare his YouTube views to those of other musicians, Nigerian musician Mr P has stated that he is more concerned with real support than with exaggerated figures.
Mr P refuted the accusations and reaffirmed his dedication to natural growth and genuine fan interaction in a statement posted on X (previously Twitter).
He wrote:
“Team P! We are not in any competition with anybody! So stop disturbing us by comparing YouTube views. I can easily buy 20 million views in less than 1 hour! But I rather grow organically and get real engagement and real fans.
“What’s the point of 2 million views with less than 2k comments and 20k likes when we are doing 1.2 million views with more than 5k comments and close to 50k likes.
“We are getting there! Thank y’all. ODO.”
Mr. P’s statement demonstrates his desire for genuine fan involvement over quantity, favouring high-quality interaction. His most recent song, “ODO,” is still becoming popular, which is indicative of the organic growth he supports.
