WAYS WHEREBY COVID-19 HAS CHANGED LAGOS’ NIGHT LIFE

With the death toll from the virus now above 8000 in Nigeria and no sign of the pandemic slowing down, the spread of COVID-19 has stopped many people from enjoying their nightlife with the government initiative to close large gatherings such as night clubs and cinemas across the state so as to contain the spread of corona virus.

Things are no longer the same, this is already having a significant economic impact on sectors like entertainment. Music performance and concerts have been affected greatly with nightlife places been shut down because they had been deemed non-essential services and places of easy transmission for the corona virus.

It might take a while before the night gets busy and fun for Lagosians again. For now, the night clubs are silent and the stakeholders in the entertainment industry are patiently waiting for the relapse of the Covid-19 pandemic
