Elizabeth Banks, Amy Brenneman, Mercedes Mason, Mary McCormack, Dascha Polanco, Retta, and Bellamy Young explain the many different reasons women have abortions—from a life-threatening ectopic pregnancy to getting pregnant with the child of an abusive boyfriend—and the obstacles they face when getting abortions, which have been a constitutionally-protected right for the past 43 years.
Some women submitted their personal experiences to the Center for Reproductive Rights’ Draw the Line campaign and they’re hoping the stories will draw attention to the March 2 Supreme Court case Whole Woman’s Health v. Cole, which will determine whether Texas can implement restrictions that would shut down nearly all abortion care providers in the state.
