Inclement weather disrupted the penultimate night of The FADER FORT Presented By Converse, but when Davido appeared before a swelling crowd in the afternoon, the sun was fully beaming through the clouds.

“I brought the sun with me from Lagos,” the recent FADER cover star joked backstage. To close out a high-energy set—complete with a troupe of dancers decked out in Nigeria’s national colors—Davido performed “Aye,” a downtempo love song that was a huge hit across West Africa in 2014.
