Wamakko Donates 10 Patrol Vehicles to Sokoto Police Command

In a bid to bolster security in Sokoto State, former governor and Senator Aliyu Wamakko has donated 10 Toyota Hilux patrol vehicles to the state police command.

The presentation, held on Wednesday at the Command Headquarters, underscores the senatorโ€™s commitment to supporting law enforcement efforts in ensuring public safety.

While handing over the vehicles, Senator Wamakko praised the police for their dedication to maintaining peace and urged them to intensify their efforts in safeguarding the state.

The Sokoto State Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed Musa, received the vehicles on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun.

He described the donation as a significant gesture that highlights the importance of collaboration between law enforcement agencies and government leaders.

โ€œThis unwavering support and generosity underscore the critical importance of collective efforts in advancing our mission to serve and protect the people of Sokoto State,โ€ CP Musa stated.

He emphasized that the vehicles are not just modes of transportation but a crucial investment in the operational efficiency and morale of police officers.

โ€œThese vehicles will enhance our response readiness and operational capabilities.

They also symbolize the profound impact that strategic partnerships and community support can have on law enforcement effectiveness,โ€ he added.

The commissioner called on police officers to utilize the vehicles with professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to upholding the rule of law.

He also urged them to strengthen their relationship with the community, fostering trust and cooperation.Expressing his gratitude to Senator Wamakko, CP Musa said,

โ€œThis generous donation reflects visionary leadership and a steadfast commitment to supporting the Force. May it mark the beginning of a new chapter of progress and partnership in our mission to protect lives and property in Sokoto State.โ€

He concluded by appealing for continued support from stakeholders, likening the Force to “Oliver Twist” in seeking more resources to carry out their duties effectively.
