Introduction/Background: The Voice is the ultimate talent contest. A show in which the absolute key factor is REAL talent. The best voice combined with the very best of stage presence and much more. The Voice Nigeria centres on the search for the nation’s new big musical star. The search for that one person with that special something, a real first class act with the ability to deliver their very own unique sound.
Four extremely renowned and talented national performing artists (2Baba, Waje, Patoranking and Timi Dakolo) personally select their own talents during what is called “the blind auditions”.
The Blind Auditions: As the name suggests, the talents cannot be seen, they can only be heard. Our four coaches will therefore only be able to go on the candidates’ voice quality and technique, without being distracted or influenced by their appearance. Because as the title says, we’re looking for The Voice.
In the end, all the final talents will be coached by their chosen coaches.
After the Blind Auditions, the ‘Battle Rounds’ follow where each coach pairs two of his/her team members to perform together then chooses one to advance to the Live Finale rounds.
Talents are picked from each team by the coaches based on their performances. The others are then up for eviction. However they can still remain in the competition if the public votes them back in. This is MAJORLY WHERE YOU COME IN.
Call to Vote: Voting opens after the LIVE Sunday show at 10pm and closes on Wednesday at 11pm
How to Vote: Voting is done via SMS and WeChat.
WeChat: Below are the 3 EASY steps to voting on WeChat –
- i) Download and install the WeChat app on your android devices from your app store (Apple app store, Google play store and Blackberry World)
- ii) Follow the AfricaMagic official WeChat ID – AFRICAMAGICTV
iii) Select the Vote option and vote!
Each WeChat user is allowed to vote 100 times! and this is ABSOLUTELY FREE!
As earlier discussed, this campaign is solely based on enlightening and educating the public on how EASY and SEAMLESS it is to vote via WeChat. Also discussed, each post/tweet made by you would be uniquely centred to depict this.
I will also appreciate if personal images/videos can be made with your person executing the steps to voting via WeChat.
Remember, kicking off today, we are aiming at encouraging the download of WeChat and identifying with the Africa Magic WeChat ID. As discussed earlier, Thursday mornings to Sunday evenings will be geared solely towards this.
Campaign on VOTING itself will commence after the LIVE show and run through till Wednesday night.
