Victor AD has shared how his new collaboration with Timaya came together, saying the final song choice was guided by strong instinct rather than confusion in the studio.

Speaking during an interview on Hot FM Lagos, he recalled that several ideas were recorded, but one track immediately stood out to him.

“No, I see they thought they got a fine one… how did you guys know that this is the right one to drop?” he said.

He explained that he kept his opinion low-key at first. However, he already felt certain about the record internally. “I knew that this is the song… this is the jam,” he added.

According to him, the song felt like the perfect match for both him and Timaya, even before final approval.

Victor AD revealed that Timaya called him the next morning after their session. That conversation reopened discussions about which track to release.

He said that moment confirmed what both of them were already thinking. After that, they agreed to move forward with the song.
