The University of Lagos campus has been shut down for the weekend by the management of the University.
The closure which is effective immediately is as a result of protests by students of the institution over epileptic power and water supply.
The University also cited the lingering fuel crisis as part of the reasons for the closure as students who live outside the school campus were having difficulty shuttling to and from school.
As students blocked roads on Thursday evening, there were concerns that the situation could quickly deteriorate into violence.
A circular from the school management disclosed that, โA decision to re-open for normal academic activities will be made as soon as municipal services improve,โ
โAll members of the University community are enjoined to go about their normal activities as adequate security measures have been put in place.โ
