After what seemed like a mission impossible for the Team Nigeria Members to represent Nigeria at the Rio Olympics, Union bank took hold of the situation and restored the pride of the athletes.
Union Bank has also been in support of Team Nigeria dating way back from the 90s and could not stay without supporting this year despite the economic instability in the country.
In the Press Conference, which took place at the 25th floor of the Union Bank Headquarters, it was announced that the bank was going to support the team with the sum of 25 Million Naira and also support the NOC (Nigerian Olympic Committee) with the sum of 5 Million Naira.
This was happily absorbed in minds of everyone who witnessed the presentation of the cheque and the people and press commended the good concerns of the Bank.
It went further to unveil a group of young athletes #TeamUnion who they will be sponsoring to the Rio Olympics.
The essence and sole role of #TeamUnion would be to give social media commentary of the happenings at the Olympics.
This is a proposed 1 year agreement with #TeamUnion of which after the Olympics, improvement can be done.
