The Champions League semi-finals are back, as four teams, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Atlético Madrid, and Arsenal, battle for a place in the final in Istanbul, where they will compete for Europe’s most prestigious club trophy.
All four sides progressed impressively through the quarter-finals to earn their places in the semi-finals.

Bayern vs PSG
Bayern Munich defeated the kings of the Champions League, Real Madrid, to reach the semi-finals. They secured a 2–1 win in Spain before edging a thrilling 4–3 victory in the return leg. Meanwhile, PSG overcame Liverpool, winning 2–0 in both legs to book their place in the semis.
These two sides also faced each other earlier this season during the league phase of the competition, where Bayern Munich triumphed 2–1 thanks to two goals from their star winger, Luis Díaz.
Many believe this tie could easily have been the final, but instead, it arrives at the semi-final stage. The match is finely poised, as both teams boast strong attacking lineups and well-balanced squads. Bayern’s attacking trio of Luis Díaz, Harry Kane, and Michael Olise can trouble any defence, while PSG counter with a dangerous frontline featuring Ousmane Dembélé, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Bradley Barcola.
The two sides famously met in the 2020 UEFA Champions League Final, which Bayern won 1–0. This adds further intrigue to what is already a balanced and highly anticipated clash. On paper, it’s a difficult tie to call, but one thing is certain: it promises to live up to the hype.

Arsenal vs Atlético Madrid
Neither of these sides has ever won the Champions League. They previously met in the league phase earlier this season, with Arsenal coming out on top. However, the semi-finals present a completely different challenge.
Arsenal secured their place by defeating Sporting CP 1–0 on aggregate, thanks to a goal from Kai Havertz and a goalless draw in the second leg. Atlético Madrid, on the other hand, overcame Barcelona, winning the first leg 2–0 before losing 2–1 in the second leg, but still progressing on aggregate.
Arsenal will rely on their well-balanced squad, with a solid defence, composed midfield, and effective attack. Meanwhile, Atlético Madrid, led by Diego Simeone, is known for their intensity and tactical discipline, making it a formidable opponent.
Some fans expect a defensive battle, given both managers’ tactical approaches, but with a place in the final at stake, this tie could produce more attacking football than anticipated. One thing is certain: this semi-final promises to be an exciting contest.
