Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has cried out over the flood of relationship proposals she has received since announcing the end of her marriage, revealing that more than 100 men have sent her direct messages in a single day.

The actress made the revelation in an Instagram post, in which she urged admirers to slow down, saying she is not ready to begin a new relationship.

“Nah wah ooooo! It’s like all these men I’ve been looking for to get to me, ‘cos what in the heaven is going on in my DM. Guys make unah chill ooo! I’m not searching yet! Let me breathe first. Ogini nu! 100 DMs a day is too much for just me, nah. Haba!” she wrote.

Shortly afterwards, Ogbodo returned to her Instagram Story with another post suggesting that the attention had become overwhelming.

“Jesus, I will leave. Dismantle my IG,” she added.

Her comments come days after she announced the end of her eight-year relationship with Bobby Maris.

In a series of posts shared on Instagram, the actress disclosed that she had reached her breaking point and questioned why society often expects only men to express dissatisfaction in marriage.

Ogbodo and Maris tied the knot in January 2023 and share two children.

In 2021, the couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Lumina Ugwoegbu. They later welcomed their second child, Ifeanyichukwu Xavier Ugwoegbu, in 2023.
