Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has announced her separation from her husband, Bobby Maris, saying she has grown tired of the marriage after years together.

The actress disclosed the development in a series of posts on her Instagram story, where she questioned why society often expects only men to express dissatisfaction in marriage.

“For person to tire for marriage now nah taboo because nah woman! Must it always be man must taya? My tayad is tayad! I am tayad of the Princess wey dey marry me. What is wrong with that? To be happy as a woman in marriage, nah by connection in this country!” she wrote.

She also suggested that she had reached her limit after years in the relationship.

“I no do again nah sin?

“Make nobody push me to the wall because I be rubber ooo! 8 years of my life isn’t enough yet? Maybe I should give it 20 years or maybe 6feet under before the crown of thorns can fit me well!!”

Maris also shared a brief but cryptic message on his Instagram story following Ogbodo’s remarks.

“Delivered,” he wrote.

Ogbodo and Maris tied the knot on January 6, 2023, after being together for several years.

In 2021, the couple welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Lumina Ugwoegbu. They later welcomed a second child, Ifeanyichukwu Xavier Ugwoegbu, in 2023.
