Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua Fight Signed, Eddie Hearn Confirms

Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua have signed contracts, according to promoter Eddie Hearn, reviving hopes for boxing’s biggest heavyweight showdown. Hearn says the agreement remains legally binding, despite recent arguments over the event’s location, financial terms, and promotional arrangements now.

Both fighters have waited years for this meeting, with previous negotiations repeatedly failing before contracts finally moved the rivalry forward. The proposed blockbuster fight could headline a major international boxing event, although officials have not confirmed the final venue yet.

Madison Square Garden in New York has emerged as a leading option, while British stakeholders continue pushing for a homecoming. Fury questioned whether the contest would happen, accusing Joshua of seeking money during negotiations about moving the fight to America.

Joshua’s promoter rejected that uncertainty, insisting the signed agreement prevents either fighter from simply abandoning the highly anticipated heavyweight contest. Meanwhile, organisers still face important logistical questions involving venue arrangements, taxation, travel, broadcasting, and compensation before announcing final details publicly.

Netflix has already promoted the matchup, increasing expectations that the long-awaited British heavyweight rivalry could receive worldwide attention when confirmed. Fans have discussed Fury versus Joshua for years, especially after both men built careers among boxing’s most recognizable heavyweight names.

Fury enters this latest chapter seeking another major victory, while Joshua continues pursuing another defining win after rebuilding his career.
