South African singer Tyla has added Lagos to her upcoming ‘A*POP’ world tour.
The singer announced the tour in a recent Instagram post. She shared graphics showing the full list of dates and cities for the global run. The tour takes its name from ‘A*POP’, her recently released sophomore album.
Tyla will begin the tour on October 12 in Paris, France. She will then perform across several European cities, including Amsterdam, London, Glasgow, Manchester, Brussels, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt and Berlin.
The tour will move to North America in November. Tyla will perform in cities such as Sacramento, San Francisco, Vancouver, Seattle, Denver, Chicago, Boston, Toronto and New York. She will also visit Washington, Tampa, Atlanta, Irving, Houston, Austin, Phoenix, San Diego, Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
Lagos will host the singer on December 22. The Nigerian city is the only stop in the country on the tour. Tyla will round off the African leg with performances in Cape Town on January 4 and Johannesburg on January 9.
The Lagos date gives Nigerian fans a chance to watch the Grammy-winning artiste perform songs from her latest project. It also reflects the growing influence of Nigeria’s music market within the global entertainment industry.
Tyla gained international attention with her 2023 hit song “Water”. The track became a viral success and earned her the Grammy Award for “Best African Music Performance” in 2024.
She later built on that success with songs such as “Truth or Dare”, “Jump”, and “Art”. The tracks helped strengthen her position as one of Africa’s fastest-rising music stars.
The 24-year-old also enjoyed another major milestone at the 2026 Grammy Awards. She won the “Best African Music Performance” category for a second time.
Tyla beat nominees including Burna Boy, Wizkid & Ayra Starr, Davido & Omah Lay, and Ugandan artiste Eddy Kenzo alongside Mehran Matin.
