Two Days to City Choir Carol in Lagos

It’s officially two days to the City Choir Christmas Carol, and Lagos is already buzzing with anticipation. Scheduled for 21st December 2025 at The Freedom Centre, Lagos, this year’s carol is themed “When Heaven Touched Earth”, and expectations are sky-high.

The City Choir has steadily grown into one of the most talked-about gospel music collectives in Nigeria. Since its inception in 2022, the choir has built a reputation for excellence, powerful storytelling through music, and unforgettable live performances. In just a few years, they have won several awards and gained widespread recognition, proving that consistency, passion, and purpose can create something truly impactful.

Last year’s City Choir Carol, which was held at Canaan Land, Lekki, left attendees deeply moved. The combination of rich harmonies, worshipful atmosphere, and theatrical expression made it more than just a concert; it was an experience. Many who attended described it as one of the most memorable Christmas carols of the season, setting a very high standard for what was to come. This year, the City Choir is raising the bar once again.

The 2025 edition promises not just music, but a full celebration of the Christmas story — a reminder of the moment heaven touched earth. With hundreds of voices coming together in harmony, the concert is expected to blend classic Christmas carols with contemporary gospel sounds, all delivered with the choir’s signature excellence.

Adding an extra layer of excitement is the unveiling of the hosts for this year’s event. Popular media personality Wale Daniel (red carpet) and award-winning actress Lala Akindoju (main event) have been announced as hosts, bringing both charm and star power to the evening. Their involvement signals that this year’s carol will be as glamorous as it is spiritual.
