President Donald Trump called rapper Nicki Minaj “so hot” while introducing her at a White House luncheon on Monday.
The comment came during a luncheon in the Rose Garden. Minaj was among the guests at the event.
While introducing the rapper, Trump praised her talent and support. He also described her as a respected public figure.
“We also have a woman who is respected and so hot. She’s such a great friend of I don’t say conservative, I would say common sense,” he said.
Trump went on to praise Minaj’s career and popularity.
“She’s a fantastic person, and she is a woman who is respected by everybody, and she’s got real talent; we have Nicki Minaj.
“She’s such a great person and is respected by everybody.”
After the event, Minaj shared photos from the White House on her X page. She also expressed her admiration for the president.
“Whoa!!!! #WhiteHouseBarbie with her favourite President of all time!!!
The appearance is another sign of Minaj’s support for Trump. In January, she showed off Trump’s immigration “gold card.” The programme offers a fast-track route to residency.
Minaj also appeared with Trump at the Trump Accounts Summit in Washington. There, she described herself as one of his strongest supporters.
“The hate or what people say does not affect me at all. It actually motivates me to support him more,” she said at the event.
Videos of Trump’s remarks and Minaj’s appearance quickly spread across social media after the luncheon.
