Trump And Clinton Win Big On Super Tuesday

Republican and Democratic Presidential hopefuls approached super Tuesday knowing that there was little margin for failure in the primaries.

With delegates inย Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island up for grabs, there was everything Super about it.

At the Republican end, Ohio Governor John Kasich and Ted Cruz had joined forces in order to stop controversial businessman Donald Trump from further victories at the primaries. Their alliance was ultimately futile as Donald Trump swept up all states on offer with convincing margins of victory.

Trump followed up his victory with a scathing attack on Hillary Clinton, claimingย “Frankly, if Hillary Clinton were a man, I don’t think she’d get 5% of the vote,” he said.

For the Democrats, although Bernie Sanders insists he’s still in it until the last vote is cast, the reality appears much different as it seems only a matter of time before Clinton gets the required number of delegates. Clinton won in four states with Sanders claiming only Rhode Island on Super Tuesday.

Hillary Clinton hit back at Trump’s allegations that she’s playing the ‘woman card’ as she told supporters in Philadelphia,ย “Well, if fighting for women’s healthcare and paid family leave and equal pay is playing the woman card, then deal me in,”.
