Toyin Abraham, the Nollywood actress and film producer, has revealed how she lost her four-month pregnancy while filming.
Abraham spoke on Saturday at the Bestie Jesu Concert 2026 in Lagos. She also recounted how Bolaji Idowu, lead pastor of Harvesters International Christian Centre, supported her during the difficult period.
The actress said she suffered the miscarriage while filming.
“I was four months pregnant, but I lost it. But guess what, I was filming, so I was down,” she said.
Abraham said she initially did not want to tell her parents about the pregnancy loss. She was especially concerned about her mother.
“I didn’t want to call my parents; you know how it is that you don’t want to… my parents, my mom is old, and I didn’t want to call my mom,” she said.
She said she told her husband, Kolawole Ajeyemi. However, he was far away at the time.
“I just told my husband, but that day he was far away, and guess who I called? I just called Pastor Bolaji. He just started praying for me, and he said, ‘Where are you?’ I said, ‘I’m on my way to the hospital.’”
Abraham had previously spoken about suffering a miscarriage in 2022. She said the experience affected her plans to have more children.
“I have the plan to have more kids; I was actually pregnant, but I lost it recently,” she had said.
Abraham and Ajeyemi had their traditional marriage in July 2019.
