Toni Tones to Star in Arese Ugwu’s Lara Unlimited for Azuwa Studios, Set for May 29 YouTube Premiere

Toni Tones is set to headline Lara Unlimited, a new feature from The Smart Money Woman creator Arese Ugwu, premiering May 29 exclusively on Azuwa Studios YouTube channel.

A spinoff of the hit series, Lara Unlimited follows oil executive Lara Thompson (Tones) as she navigates corporate betrayal, community unrest, and a complicated love story, all while fighting for power in a system rigged against her.

Nicole Ikot(The Smart Money Woman 2) and Zikora Ugwu reprise their roles from the original series, with Natse Jemide (Far From Home) and Kingsley Nwachukwu ( joining the cast.

Together, they create a rich narrative tapestry of friendship, ambition, power, and self-discovery.

The production also brings back the slick aesthetic, witty dialogue, and empowering themes that made The Smart Money Woman a cultural phenomenon across Africa and the diaspora.

The release will coincide with the launch of Women Unlimited, Azuwa’s new community platform designed to foster dialogue around work, wealth, and ambition for women in Africa and the diaspora.

Arese, who also directs, calls the film “a love letter to every woman who’s ever been underestimated.”
