Tom Holland next Spider-Man actor discussions have already begun, according to the Marvel star during a recent Happy Sad Confused podcast interview. Holland revealed the studio developed a long-term succession plan shortly after completing Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2021.
Sharing his excitement, Holland said, “There’s a whole plan that we have been working on for, I would say, since we finished ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home.’” He explained the roadmap may evolve but already provides a clear direction for the franchise’s future. Continuing his remarks, Holland added, “It’s laid out. It’s gonna change for sure, but I have a really clear vision to the passing on of the baton.” He also described the transition as something that genuinely excites him while preparing the next chapter.
Tom Holland next Spider-Man actor plans also reflect the mentorship he experienced alongside Robert Downey Jr. during his early Marvel journey. Holland has repeatedly expressed interest in guiding his successor while helping them navigate the responsibilities of portraying the iconic superhero.
The British actor has also supported introducing Miles Morales or another younger Spider-Man into the Marvel Cinematic Universe through future storylines. Fans continue speculating about the franchise’s future, but Holland’s latest comments suggest Marvel already has a carefully planned vision for Spider-Man beyond his eventual departure.
