TikToker Mirabel Returns After Ogun Rehabilitation Following False Rape Allegation

TikToker Mirabel has returned to social media after leaving rehabilitation in Ogun State following custody over her false rape allegation. In February 2026, Mirabel, whose real name is Nsikak Abigael Emem, claimed an unknown intruder raped her inside Ogijo town.

Her allegations quickly spread across TikTok, triggering widespread reactions and public concern before subsequent developments challenged the account she presented. Mirabel later admitted the rape story was false, while investigations examined her claims and circumstances surrounding the controversial incident.

On June 24, Ogun Attorney-General Oluwasina Ogungbade said investigations and Mirabel’s admissions established publicly that the allegation was deliberately fabricated. Officials found no offender to prosecute, while authorities chose psychosocial rehabilitation instead of criminal prosecution after reviewing the case circumstances.

The Ogun Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development took responsibility for her care, with officials reporting positive rehabilitation progress. Months later, TikToker Mirabel resumed posting on Saturday, marking her first known public social media activity since the controversy began.

One comeback message read, “I survived, so I’m awaiting your hate comments,” directly acknowledging the criticism surrounding her return online. Another post carried the words, “Out of therapy but not healed,” offering little detail about her current emotional condition publicly.

Mirabel also wrote that she had made peace with her mental health, adding that rehabilitation could not completely help her.
