A controversial advert of a skin whitening cream called “Snowz” by a Thai cosmetic company has been withdrawn.

The advert features Thai actress Cris Horwang seemingly implying her success is as a result of skin color.

“In my world there is tough competition. If I don’t take care of myself, everything I have built, the whiteness I have invested in, could be gone,” Horwang said in the ad.

Seoul Secret, the manufacturers of Snowz have taken down the advert and offered an apology for the offensive advert.
