MTN Foundation, the CSR arm of Nigeria’s leading ICT company, in its continuous commitment to youth development has engaged leading minds in the Nigerian entertainment and media industry for the virtual edition of MTN’s Business of the Art Series. The series, in its fourth edition, is aimed at expanding the business acumen of young aspiring and experienced entertainers, and music business executives.
The business of the Art series, which will hold virtually on Friday, August 28, 2020, will have seven of Nigeria’s best minds in the Nigerian entertainment and media industry speak from their wealth of knowledge and experience in the business. They include Vice President, International Strategy & Operations at Warner Music Group, Temi Adeniji; Country Manager, ViacomCBS Network, Africa, Bada Akintunde-Johnson; Founder and CEO, Now Music, Efe Omorogbe; Founder and CEO, BHM Group, Ayeni Adekunle; and CEO MusicTime, Oye Akideinde. The keynote speaker will be Chief Marketing Officer, MTN Irancell, Larry Annetts.
The initiative aims to serve as a knowledge-sharing platform to assist aspiring musicians and music business enthusiasts in making informed decisions when navigating through the converging lines of business and arts in the music industry.
This edition, which will hold virtually and will be moderated by President, Digital Music Commerce and Exchange Limited, Oyinkansola Fawehinmi. Attendees will gain exclusive insights into how the real business of the music industry works from creativity to merchandising and business management.
