Nigerian singer Tekno has revealed his streaming plans, announcing that he will become a full-time streamer starting this November. During his statement, Tekno confidently declared that established Nigerian streamers Carter Efe and Peller have nothing on him currently.
The singer also addressed his TikTok presence, joking that his approach draws inspiration from Nigerian music executive and entrepreneur Mr Eazi. According to Tekno, streaming represents another entertainment avenue he intends to explore while continuing his career within Nigeria’s music industry.
His announcement immediately generated attention because several Nigerian entertainers have recently expanded their brands through livestreaming, social media, and digital content. Carter Efe has built a substantial online audience through comedy, entertainment content, livestreams, and collaborations with prominent Nigerian personalities.
Peller has similarly gained recognition through TikTok livestreaming, celebrity interactions, and energetic digital content that attracts audiences across multiple platforms. Tekno appears ready to enter that space, potentially bringing his musical personality and established fanbase into the streaming environment.
Beyond entertainment, his planned transition could create opportunities for direct fan engagement, collaborations, gaming, conversations, and other forms of digital content. For Tekno, November could therefore mark the beginning of a new chapter beyond recording music and performing for traditional audiences.
