Veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, will be buried Monday in Ilaro, Ogun State, following his death. Hassan died Sunday, August 23, 2026, at age 66, after battling stage-four cancer during his final months of life.
Veteran actor Jide Kosoko confirmed Hassan’s death, prompting an outpouring of grief across Nigeria’s entertainment industry and Yoruba cinema community. According to the burial announcement, Hassan’s lying-in-state ceremony will take place Monday at the Pavilion, Ilaro, Ogun State.
