Officials have confirmed that a Somali plane which made an emergency landing after an explosion blew out of its fuselage was caused by a bomb.
One passenger was reported missing after the explosion tore out part of the fuselage shortly after takeoff from the Mogadishu airport.
Somalia’s transport minister, Ali Ahmed Jamac said “It was a bomb that exploded in the Daallo Airlines flight. It was meant to kill all aboard,”
The missing passenger has been confirmed dead after he was sucked out of the Dallo Airlines Airbus 321 aircraft.
No group has claimed responsibility for Tuesday’s attack.
