He was supposed to return to London yesterday Thursday. “I don’t want to think the worst because down here I heard it’s dangerous,” she said, while the search for her son was still on.
Chicago police officers added their manpower to the ongoing search for Owolana, joining relatives who canvassed the West Pullman neighborhood since he disappeared. The entire Nigerian neighbourhood around Southern Chicago was thrown into mourning as Ademola’s lifeless body was found. He was said to have been murdered by unidentified men who attacked him.

For those who don’t know Debo Owolana, he is that socialite who a lot of big musicians have done special numbers for in past years. K1 and Adewale Ayuba are some of the artistes who have sing-praised Owolana in their ablums. He is always refered to by Ayuba as ‘Mr Scubee Doo’.
Bola Owolana, mother of the deceased said he went to south suburban Glenwood last Friday night to get a tattoo. Later, he went to a club on Chicago’s Far South Side with family. One of his relatives, Sheri Akinoso, said he became aggressive at the club and demanded his car keys, but he would not hand them over because Owolana can’t legally drive in the United States and he had been drinking. “I said ‘I can’t give you the car keys. Hold on, let me call the last person and he could move the car,’” Akinoso says. “He said, ‘give me the car keys.’” He said when Owolana could not get the car keys, he jogged off east on 117th Street and that was the last seen of him.
His family posted flyers in the area where he went missing and the police report. They said it’s not like him to disappear and they were worried for his safety.
Owolana is 5 ft. 5 in. tall and weighs around 140 lbs. He was last seenwearing a burgundy shirt, blue jeans, a green jacket, a ball cap and a gold chain with a Versace pendant. He also has three tattoos: “Family First” on his left arm, “Loyalty” on his shoulder and a musical note on his right upper arm. Police said he is not familiar with the area.
The family even offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to his wherabout. Unfortunately, all these never brought back Ademola, as what was found is his dead body. Chicago Police are currently carrying out investigations to unearth his killers, CityScoop learnt.
