A Russian Helicopter has crashed in Syria on Tuesday morning near the city of Homs.

The two pilots onboard the Helicopter have been confirmed dead even as Russian authorities have disclosed that the helicopter was not shot at.

The Russian government is backing Bashir Al Assad in the Syrian crisis but a ceasefire agreed in March has seen Russia downscale its involvement.
