Declan Rice rescued Arsenal with a late equaliser in a thrilling 2-2 Champions League draw against Bayern Munich on Wednesday, while Real Madrid cruised to a 4-1 victory over RB Leipzig and Como thrashed Manchester United by the same scoreline.
Arsenal’s night in Germany began badly when Bukayo Saka limped off in the 10th minute, clutching his knee after falling while attempting a pass.
However, the visitors took the lead in the 25th minute when Eberechi Eze raced onto Martin Odegaard’s long ball and fired an angled shot past Manuel Neuer. The goal was initially ruled offside but stood after a VAR review.
Bayern responded 10 minutes later as Harry Kane released Alphonso Davies with a through ball from halfway. The Canadian raced clear before beating David Raya with a composed finish.
Kane then put the hosts ahead in the 61st minute after his shot struck Jurrien Timber’s raised hand. The England captain converted the resulting penalty, firing his 58th Champions League goal into the roof of the net.
Rice salvaged a point for Arsenal eight minutes from time. The midfielder exchanged passes with Viktor Gyokeres inside the box before slotting past Neuer.
Real Madrid hit Leipzig for four
At the Santiago Bernabeu, Real Madrid overcame an early scare to beat RB Leipzig 4-1, with goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois making crucial saves to keep the hosts in the contest.

Courtois denied Romulo’s close-range volley and thwarted Christopher Nkunku in a one-on-one situation before Real found their rhythm.
Bernardo Silva broke the deadlock in the 43rd minute, tapping home after Leipzig goalkeeper Maarten Vandevoordt spilt Federico Valverde’s shot.
Arda Guler doubled the lead seven minutes after the break, beating a defender to Kylian Mbappe’s goalbound header from Jude Bellingham’s cross.
Mbappe curled a shot into the top corner in the 83rd minute before Tidiam Gomis pulled one back for Leipzig a minute later.
Substitute Yan Diomande completed the scoring with a spectacular volley from Brahim Diaz’s cross.
Como punish Manchester United
Elsewhere, Nico Paz scored twice and provided an assist as Como defeated Manchester United 4-1 in northern Italy.
Paz opened the scoring inside two minutes with a curling effort from the edge of the box before setting up Anastasios Douvikas for Como’s second shortly after halftime.

The Argentine midfielder then dispossessed Carlos Baleba and surged forward before finishing past the advancing goalkeeper.
Jacobo Ramon headed Como’s fourth in the 76th minute, while Joshua Zirkzee scored a stoppage-time consolation for United.

In France, Galatasaray recovered from an early setback to beat Lille 4-2. Yunus Akgun opened the scoring before Soriba Diaoune struck twice to put Lille ahead. Alexey Batrakov equalised before a Nabil Bentaleb own goal, and Victor Osimhen’s powerful finish sealed the Turkish side’s victory.
Inter Milan beat Shakhtar Donetsk 1-0, Aston Villa defeated Viking Stavanger 3-1, Real Betis edged Feyenoord 1-0, while LASK stunned Sporting 3-2 in Lisbon.
