Nigerian singer Rema has acquired a luxury home at One by Binghatti, a high-end residential development in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The purchase marks another milestone for the Afrobeats star, whose global profile has continued to rise in recent years.
Binghatti Announces Acquisition
Binghatti Developers announced the acquisition in a statement shared on Instagram on Monday. The company described Rema as the latest international celebrity to own property in the luxury complex.
The signing ceremony took place at the Grand Hyatt Dubai. Abdullah Binghatti, the company’s chief sales officer, led the event alongside other senior executives.
Announcing the deal, the company said: “Binghatti proudly announces global singer and songwriter Rema as the newest homeowner at One by Binghatti.”
The deputy chief sales officer also welcomed the singer in a video shared from the event.
“Another global icon joins the Binghatti legacy. Welcome home, Rema,” he wrote.
Prime Location in Dubai
Rema’s new home is located in Business Bay, one of Dubai’s most popular districts.
The property sits about five minutes from the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. The area is known for its luxury residences and easy access to key landmarks.
A Growing Global Star
Born Divine Ikubor, Rema signed with D’Prince’s Jonzing World, a subsidiary of Mavin Records, in 2019.
Since then, he has become one of Africa’s biggest music stars. His hit song Calm Down, featuring Selena Gomez, won the first Best Afrobeats award at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2023.
In 2024, his second album, HeIs, recorded the biggest first-week streams on Spotify Nigeria.
The album also earned a nomination for Best Global Music Album at the 2025 Grammy Awards.
Rema’s success has also been recognised at home. At the 16th Headies Awards, he won Best Male Artiste and Digital Artiste of the Year.
