PSG’s Streak Comes To An End With A 2-1 Loss To Lyon

Paris Saint German’s dominance of the Ligue 1 this season has been nothing short of phenomenal.

Having managed to avoid defeat in 28 games, PSG had opened up a 24 point lead at the top of the table.
For all practical purposes, the French league is done and dusted and the rest of the teams have nothing but pride and a place in the Champions league to play for.

PSG’s winning run finally came to an end today following an away loss to Olympique Lyon. PSG are strangers to deafeat, with their last loss coming in November 3.
Against Lyon, they found themselves chasing the game as early as the 13th minute when a goal from Maxwel Cornet put Lyon ahead.

Sergi Darder’s beauty of a goal compounded PSG’s woes before Lucas Moura pulled one back.
The result sees Lyon climb into third while PSG remain top of the table 23 points clear.
