The Islamic State Of Iraq and the Levants (ISIL) have launched a devastating series of attacks in Iraq over the past few days.
With 70 people feared dead already from today’s attacks, it will surely go down as the deadliest week of ISIL attacks.
Two roadside bombs just outside the capital city of Baghdad left scores of persons injured.
Among the casualties were 18 policemen even as some more policemen were kidnapped in Abu Ghraib.
The ISIL attacks today come on the heels of government forces retaking ISIL strongholds within Iraq.
ISIL has reportedly retaken two villages following today’s attacks although the reports have been denied by Iraqi authorities.
