Two-time Grammy-nominated artist, Ahmed Ololade, known popularly by his stage name, Asake, recently dropped a snippet of his new single, Military, and it has got netizens talking.
The Afro-Fuji superstar dropped the snippet on his Instagram handle as a reel barely 48 hours after the 2025 Grammy Awards. Though he didn’t win a gong the singer has said the fact that he keeps getting nominated means he is doing something right.
OSG recalls reporting weeks ago when Asake unfollowed his former boss, Olamide on IG and removed the YBNL title from his bio. It was reported then that Asake had a rift with Olamide which was why he left YBNL.
Also, controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola Badmus aka Portable, recently released a video where he dissed Olamide for deciding to Asake ahead of him. He noted that a lot of things Asake does were created by him.
Portable slammed Olamide noting that the guy he picked over him has now left for the doldrums.
Asake drops new song, hails Olamide
Only hours after Portable’s diss video went viral, Asake dropped a new song where he gave his rumoured ex-record label boss, Olamide, his flowers.
In the audio snippet from the song going viral online, Asake started the track by giving Olamide a shout-out before going ahead to sing. This action has stirred mixed conversations online.
