Former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi has reacted to the death of Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo, expressing sadness over the loss of one of the industry’s familiar faces.
In a statement shared on his X handle, Obi said he received the news with a heavy heart, noting that the late actor was loved by millions of Nigerians for his talent, charisma, and contribution to the entertainment industry.
He described Alexx Ekubo as a creative personality who used his craft to entertain and inspire many young people, adding that his passing has left a painful gap in Nollywood and among his fans across the country.
Obi also extended his condolences to the actor’s family, friends, and colleagues in the movie industry, praying for strength and comfort for everyone mourning him during this difficult time.
