P-Square feud: Rudeboy defends late mother after Peter’s claims about Lola

P-Square singer Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, has reacted after his twin brother, Peter Okoye, accused their late mother of opposing his relationship with his wife, Lola Omotayo.

Paul said it was unfortunate that their mother was no longer alive to defend herself against the allegations made by Peter.

His reaction came after Peter shared a series of videos detailing the events he said contributed to the long-running feud between the Okoye brothers.

Peter’s claims about Lola

Peter alleged that his family initially opposed his relationship with Lola.

He claimed their late mother, Chioma Okoye, demanded that Lola leave him alone. Peter said their mother later withdrew the statement and apologised to him alongside their older brother, Henry.

According to Peter, Chioma also asked Paul and Jude to apologise. He alleged that both brothers refused to do so before their mother’s death.

Peter further claimed that Paul and Jude pressured Lola to terminate her pregnancy after he informed the family about it.

He also accused his brothers of harassing and insulting Lola. According to him, the situation became worse when she posted birthday messages to both Paul and Jude.

Peter said the pressure became so intense that he eventually changed his birthday to avoid further emotional and psychological strain.

Peter recalls missing son’s birth

Peter also made another revelation about the birth of his son, Cameron.

He alleged that Jude booked a show in Akwa Ibom on the same day his son was born. Peter claimed Jude knew he wanted to be at the hospital for the birth but booked the show anyway.

The latest revelations have renewed public interest in the long-running conflict between the Okoye brothers.

The siblings have been at loggerheads for nearly a decade. Their disputes have contributed to repeated break-ups of the P-Square group.

Despite the alleged opposition from his family, Peter eventually married Lola in a lavish ceremony in November 2013.

The couple have since remained together and have two children, Cameron and Aliona.

Paul’s latest response has now added another layer to the dispute, as he seeks to defend the memory of their late mother against Peter’s account of what happened.
