Nigerian striker, Osaze Odemwingie, has joined English Championship side, Rotherham United on a short-term deal until January.
The former Lille forward was reported to be completing a move to League One side, Bolton Wanderers during the weekend ย but the deal reportedly fell through as both parties failed to reach agreement on his personal terms.
Before now, the Olympic Silver medalist has played for Cardiff City, Stoke City and West Bromwich Albion all in the English Premier League.
He has also laced his boots forย Frenchย side, Lille in France and Lokomotiv Moscow of Russia.
According to a statement on the clubโs official website, โRotherham United have completed the signing ofย striker, Peter Odemwingie on a deal until January, subject to FA and EFL ratification.
โOdemwingie, who was a free agent, becomes new boss Kenny Jackettโs first signing after the Nigerian international penned a deal this evening at AESSEAL New York Stadium.
โThe experiencedย front manย boasts an impressive CV after playing in the Premier League for the likes of West Bromwich Albion and Stoke City.
โHis career has also seen him take in spells with Lille and Lokomotiv Moscow.
Odemwingie, 35, featured for another Championship side, Bristol City whom he joined on loan from Stoke City last season.
