Governor Oluwarotimi Akerodulu of Ondo State had lifted the ban on religious gatherings during a press briefing on Wednesday. However, he has limited the operation of churches to Sundays only and the operation of mosques to Fridays only.

He has also emphasized that the social distancing guidelines must be followed during services. He also said that every worshipper either in the church or mosque must wear a face mask. He also gave a directive that all worshippers must wash their hands at the entries of the places of worship and also use the hand sanitizers.
