Despite claims by the Nigerian Police force that Chief Olu Falae was rescued by a team of Police men, Chief Olu Falae has said he was released by his abductors.
Cheif Olu Falae, a former Secretary to the Federal government as well as one time Presidential aspirant was abducted by gunmen at his farm in Ondo state on Monday.
His abductors demanded a ransom of 100 million for his release even as the Presidency urged the Inspector General of Police to begin a manhunt for his abductors. The Commissioner of Police in Ondo state today confirmed the release of Chief Olu Falae and said Falae was rescued by a rescue team of 400 policemen.
Chief Falae, on his part revealed that he was made to sleep on the bare ground by his captors before he was eventually released. He also said he had to walk several kilometers before he encountered the policemen.
