A day after North Korea allegedly carried out yet another nuclear weapons test and drawing the criticism of world powers, authorities in Pyongyang have announced the suspension of several social networks.
Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and some other South Korean websites have been blocked by North Korea for ‘a certain period’. Sex and gambling websites have also been blocked as an official statement confirmed that there will be sanctions for anyone who attempts to hack into the blocked sites.
Internet access has always been limited in North Korea with only a handful of government officials boasting internet access.
