Nigerian Government Announces May 25, 26 As Public Holidays For Id-el-Fitri

The Nigerian Government has declared May 25 and 26 as public holidays to commemorate Id-el-Fitri to mark the end of the Ramadan fast

Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, made the announcement on Thursday in Abuja.

Aregbesola while calling on all Muslim faithful to replicate the life of kindness, love, tolerance, peace and good neighbourliness as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad, also maintained that COVID-19 guidelines must be adhered to during the festivities.
