Ice Prince mentioned tribes such as the Angas, Idoma, Berom, Tarok, Tiv, and Kanuri. According to him, people rarely talk about these communities despite their rich culture and history.
He revealed that many people act surprised whenever he says he is Angas. The rapper said this happens because public conversations often focus only on Hausa, Yoruba, and Igbo tribes.
Ice Prince also spoke about the challenges many Plateau State natives face. He said people often call them Hausa or “Aboki” simply because they come from Jos.
“I’m Angas fully,” he said during the conversation.
The rapper explained that many Plateau natives dislike being labelled as another tribe. He believes the constant misunderstanding of people’s identities has created tension over the years.
Ice Prince added that some people even link this issue to parts of the Jos crisis.
He urged Nigerians to learn more about different tribes across the country. According to him, every ethnic group deserves recognition and respect.
The interview has since sparked online conversations. Many fans praised the rapper for using his platform to highlight tribes that people rarely discuss in mainstream media.
