The press conference will be led by Chef Gbolabo “Captain Gibbs” Adebakin, an award-winning chef and hospitality strategist. With over 13 years of experience, he has transformed Nigeria’s culinary industry. Furthermore, he founded the Nigeria Food Summit and the African Concierge Network.

Chef Gibbs won Mastercard’s ‘The Kitchen Nigeria’ and ‘Knorr Taste Quest’ Season 5. Previously, he served as Vice President of the Culinary Arts Practitioners Association of Nigeria. He also worked as the culinary strategist behind Hilda Baci’s 2025 Gino World Jollof Festival. In addition, he supported her historic 2023 Guinness World Record Cook-A-Thon.

Moreover, Chef Gibbs continues championing innovation, standardization, and global recognition for Nigerian gastronomy. As a result, he remains one of Nigeria’s leading hospitality professionals.

This year’s summit carries the theme “Gastronomy in Nigeria: Journey to Standardization.” Consequently, policymakers, chefs, entrepreneurs, researchers, innovators, and food businesses will gather for important industry conversations.
