New reports have confirmed that President Buhari has appointed Muhammad Mustapha Abdallah as the new Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
The statement was released by the Secretary of the Federation, Babachir David Lawal, who said that Abdallah resumed work on January 11, 2016.
Abdallah is a Retired Lieutenant Colonel who graduated from the Nigeria Defence Academy in 1977 with a Certificate in Education, and a Bachelor’s Degree in American Politics and Government from Sam Houston State University in Texas, USA, in 1989.
From there, he went on to earn an M.A. in Public Administration, an LLB and LLM degrees, all from the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, in 2005 and 2011, plus a Bachelor of Law from the Nigeria Law School in 2006. The Hong, Adamawa State-born professional security officer, had a career in public service for over 30 years. He was born on November 13, 1954.
