MTN Nigeria Announces 2026 mPulse Spelling Bee, Opens Entries for Students Nationwide

MTN Nigeria 2026 mPulse Spelling Bee has officially opened entries for primary and secondary school students across Nigeria aged 9 to 15. MTN Nigeria announced the eighth edition of the MTN mPulse Spelling Bee, one of Nigeria’s largest literacy competitions.

The competition runs from July 20 to November 28, 2026, combining nationwide digital participation with regional physical contests. The programme concludes with a live Grand Finale in Lagos, where finalists will compete for exciting educational prizes. Participants will battle for scholarships, cash prizes, ICT devices, and the prestigious opportunity to become MTN CEO for a Day.

The initiative reflects MTN Nigeria’s commitment to promoting education, youth development, and academic excellence through rewarding learning opportunities. Building on previous editions, this year’s competition introduces an expanded format that increases accessibility for students across Nigeria.

Three regional physical contests will hold in Abuja, Port Harcourt, and Abeokuta before the national Grand Finale. Qualifiers from all six geopolitical zones will compete regionally before advancing to the national championship. The updated format allows more students to progress through different competition stages before reaching the final round.

The MTN mPulse Spelling Bee has evolved beyond recognising exceptional students through nationwide academic competition. Today, the initiative inspires learning, nurtures talent, and creates lasting educational opportunities across Nigerian communities. Top participating schools in each region can win prizes worth up to ₦1 million. Outstanding teachers will also receive special rewards for supporting students throughout the competition.
