The Imo State Government has finally procured a molecular laboratory for the testing of Covid-19. The laboratory was dedicated in a ceremony at Owerri where the Governor, Hope Uzodinma, said that the government had just completed one of its projects to prevent the spread of the pandemic.

Before the arrival of the molecular laboratory, tests were usually conducted at the South East Virology Testing Centre, Ebonyi. But that will not be so anymore due to the procurement of the medical laboratory. Imo State can therefore conduct tests of Coronavirus within the state without delay, and this will reduce the spread of the pandemic in the state.
