Lagos State’s Commissioner for Health, Professor Akin Abayomi, has made a shocking revelation on them treatment of Covid-19 patients in the state. He disclosed that the Lagos State Government spends between N100,000 to N1m daily for the treatment of Covid-19 patients.

He said this at the media briefing which held on Thursday, 23rd July, 2020. He further explained that while the government spends an average of N100,000 on mild and moderate cases of Coronavirus, serious cases take between N500,000 to N1M daily.

He also said that the estimated cost includes feeding, accommodation and other expenses. The Lagos State Government presently has 14,009 cases of Coronavirus out of the 38,948 confirmed cases in Nigeria.
